The shell is made of very hard, brittle plastic (unlike the more resilient ABS used in the classic Fleshlight shells.) Mine eventually did crack down the side, which makes it unusable since the ring that holds the sleeve in the case just falls right out now, along with the sleeve. That's just from regular use mind you. Dropping it on a hard floor might end it a lot faster. OR crushing it in luggage, dear travellers.
The case appears to have texture but it's very subtle, and the shape tapers smoothly from end to end. So if my hands are at all slippery I had to grip it harder than I'd like. Probably contributed to cracking the case.
The lugs that hold the cap on are asymmetrical so the cap only actually fits on one way, but it does nothing to help you know which way that is. If you put it on wrong some lugs fit and one doesn't, so the cap doesn't seat itself and lock. Try again. I always had to peer at the grooves inside the cap to try to find the big one to line up with the big lug. There's no good reason for any of this.
The small end cap is not flat so it can't be stood up on its tail. That's just an annoyance.
The clear cyberskin they use to make the sleeve: Some people might like the stuff but I find the material really troublesome. It gets much gummier and stickier after cleaning than the pink sleeves. Get ready to use lots of corn starch between uses to tame this thing.
Finally, there is a GOOD BIT: The sleeve itself does feel amazing. As well as being gummy the clear sleeve material is super squishy. Don't fear the pointy, toothy looking knobs; they're so soft they feel more like... nipples? Anyway. Was gud.
But overall: NOT recommended. I hope the "Go" series fares better and gets lots of different sleeves, because those cases are done right.
