Masturbate Locally, Masturbate Globally!

With apologies to the ubiquitous bumper sticker, we think it’s high time that we figure out a way to act, think and pleasure ourselves locally, nationally and globally.  And 2005 is the year we help you take it to the streets (well, the virtual street at least).

Masturbation Month is right around the corner, and we are buzzing with excitement over this year’s event. For the past seven years we’ve celebrated May as National Masturbation Month. Over those years we’ve raised thousands of dollars for hard-working organizations like Voices of Positive Women in Toronto and Stella in Montreal.  We’ve had hundreds of participants from Victoria to St. John’s, and each year we get press from around the world and receive hundreds of calls at our store from individuals wanting to participate.  What has always been frustrating (for us and our callers) is that most people aren’t interested in performance participation; most of them just want to watch.  

After years of scratching our heads, we’ve come up with a perfect post-modern solution.  This year you’ll be able to go online, watch others perform in a masturbate-a-thon, donate to a great cause (the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom), and since you’re in the privacy of your own home, your free to “participate” on your own (it’s a self-referential love-in). 

It all began when we approached the lovely and talented Seska (she of the phenomenal website).  With Seska’s help we secured the co-operation and co-sponsorship of Homegrown Video.  Homegrown Video is the longest running, most successful amateur video series of all time.  Specializing in porn made by the people for the people they are an unbelievably sweet group of people who have been helping people make (and watch) beautiful smut for decades.  These fine folks are donating their technology and time for the 2005 Masturbate-a-thon, and in so doing, are taking all of us to a higher level.  Here’s how it works…

On Saturday May 14 we’re holding the first ever global online masturbate-a-thon.  All you need to do is go to www.comeasyouare.com/masturbation or directly to http://orgyforworldpeace.com for more information.  On the evening of the 14th, you can log-on and donate to watch the live show (check the site for times and performers).
