What Does An Orgasm Mean?
At Come As You Are, we have a veritable dream team of amazingly knowledgeable folks. If there was a Jeopardy style quiz show solely about sex, our crew would wipe the floor (in the most non-violent way possible) with any compet- itor. In fact, even when the topic isn’t sex, we still kick some ass (as our recent appearance on Cash Cab will attest!)
Despite this, we would never be so bold to consider ourselves sex educators or experts - we have a wealth of information at our collective fingertips, but we like our sex educators be AASECT certified, and we prefer our sexperts online or in the back pages of your local alternative weekly. Each of us has a niche or a specialty (or a few), and we offer a wide variety of perspectives on sex and sexuality, but ulti- mately, we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, we firmly believe that you are the only expert on your sexuality, and we’re just here to provide ideas and options for your per- sonal sexual journey.
People ask us an awful lot of questions, and for all of us, answering questions and having conversations about sex is our favourite part of this gig. People ask us the best ques- tions and some we’re asked a lot: How can I female ejacu- late? How can I last longer? What can I do about vaginal pain? Is [fill-in-the-blank] normal? This week, someone phoned us to ask us ‘what is the mean- ing of orgasm?’. We talked for awhile about what orgasm might mean to different people at different times of their life. Before we hung up, they said ‘so, basically, orgasm means different things to different people?’ Yes, precisely. So, what does orgasm mean to you?
