It’s the time of the season for loving

With so many forms of like, love, and lust to celebrate, 
Valentine’s Day is truly one of our favourite times of year - second only perhaps to co-op week!  We’ve spent the better part of our adults lives working hard to help adults find more pleasure in their lives.  We pride ourselves on curating a shop full of ideas to help keep relationships fresh, interesting, and even inspirational.

We’ve been doing this for so long that we have a particular appreciation for how hard it can be to keep things fresh in a long-term relationship.  Seriously.

For the vast majority of people who have ever lived on earth, life is a tremendously hard slog.  The reality is that the only thing that makes it a worthwhile slog is these little sprouts of love that peek their little heads out of our life’s landscape.

At Come As You Are, this love comes in so many forms.  We rejoice in the spreading the word of self-love; we delight in the love we see between all of you; we truly adore each and every sex toy, book, and DVD we carry; and we have a deep love for each other.

As with any long term relationship, it can be easy to succumb to the grind of our everyday lives and to fail to properly appreciate each other - and more importantly, to express that appreciation on the daily.

For this Valentine’s Day, I’d like to take a moment to express how much I appreciate my comrades here at Come As You Are.  Each of you has worked so damn hard for so long, for so little payoff.  I know that co-operative structures don’t provide for a boss to tell you how well you’re doing and don’t provide annual bonuses to affirm your work, so let me just say, even when things don’t work out the way we want, the sheer effort you put in to your job is so valued and treasured by me.  I truly love each of you, want the best for each of you, and am tremendously grateful to have you in my life.

New Sex Toys, Books, and DVDS!

Aluminum and stainless toys are sought after for their smooth and sexy designs, however, it is rare to find such toys with motors in them (and the ones that exist are often quite expensive). Our Aluminum Ripple is a 3-speed battery-operated vibrator that is divine when warmed up under hot water, or when cooled down! Fully waterproof, this textured toy is an exciting find!  

In Love, Sex, and Other Distrations DVD, Richie Calhoun plays a cynical and unloved marriage counselor, who starts to tell his clients exactly what he thinks in the most bitter terms. This back fires and actually inspires these couples to forgive each other, move on and rekindle the flames in very explicit terms. Of course, it doesn’t take long for the despondent counselor himself to meet someone who makes him question his hard-held negative feelings on love. A dark comedy, with some great dialogue, good acting and top notch sex scenes that are well-shot and intimate.
